KEVIN CONNOR

My name is Kevin James Connor, I turned 25 years old on the 31st March 2008 and live in Newport, Wales where I also study a full time degree in Documentary Photography.

I was a member of Chepstow Swimming Club for a number of years starting from the age of about nine and left around 5 years later.

Employed as a lifeguard ensures that I am exposed to the swimming pool a few times a week also!

Whilst I have only recently got back into the water and training for swimming, I really am looking forward to the marvellous challenge of swimming the Channel!  Depending on how I find the relay I will possibly try for a solo attempt next year (2009).

I am fortunate enough to not be affected by diabetes personally, but I know people close to me that are.  If I can raise money for a good cause then I will certainly grasp the chance to - doing something as commendable as swim the Channel is of course a great personal achievement that I will have forever :)
