Last year one of my closest friends was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Tobi has done a great job adjusting to and coping with his condition and has subsequently decided to give something back to Diabetes UK by undertaking the Cross Channel Relay Swim. I'm not quite sure how I agreed to do this with him, although I'm sure alcohol must have been involved. However, I'm now in full training and determined to be part of a successful team.
I've already been warned to steer clear of cross channel ferries and the jellyfish... and other things that float in the sea and should be avoided at all cost... so, as you can imagine, I'm really looking forward to it!
