Each team will go across on an escort boat. All the pilots have years of experience and hundreds of cossings under their belts. There is only one swimmer in the water at a time who will be swimming an hour leg before the next swimmer takes to the water.

The pilots are the ones who will say when the race can start - and that could be any time of day or night.  We'll let you know more nearer the time on this page.
