SUCCESS!!!!
On Friday 22nd August 2008 12 brave swimmers in 2 teams of 6 successfully swum the English Channel to raise money for Diabetes UK. In fact they have raised more than £20,000.
Thanks must go out to all those friends, family and well-wishers who helped with moral support as well as deep pockets. To Emily Jones and Rob Healey for organising the event, to the Observers, Pilots and Officers of the CS&PF for their fantastic practical support and advice, to all those we met at weekend Dover Harbour training and to Elin and Sinead the Specialist Diabetic Nurses who braved the high seas with us as our medical support - we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
